Page speed is not the same question as a finished signup.
Pingdom is known for checking that a URL is up and how fast the page loads. FunnelWatch checks whether the next step, the one that takes money or an email address, still works.
Pingdom
Pingdom is a long-standing choice when you want uptime history and a view of page performance for a URL.
FunnelWatch
A fast homepage can still hide a checkout button that 404s. FunnelWatch's paid check walks that path. The free check stays a plain fetch, with SSL expiry, because a browser is the expensive part and should be spent on the funnel.
| Topic | Pingdom | FunnelWatch |
|---|---|---|
| The measurement | Availability of a URL, and performance of a page load. | Availability of a URL, plus a replay of the customer path on paid plans. |
| What “up” means | The URL answered within the rules of that check. | On the free plan, the URL answered. On Pro and Scale, the mapped steps reached the expected page. |
| Integrations | Not a product we are scoring feature by feature here. | The replay can cross Stripe, Resend, Kit, Mailchimp, Calendly, Zoom, or a Supabase auth screen, if a person can click through it. |
| Price claims | Not listed here. Their pricing changes and belongs on their site. | Free is $0. Pro is $19 a month. Scale is $49 a month. |
This page describes FunnelWatch as it works today, and the general job the other product is known for. It does not quote their prices or list features we have not checked. Use their site for the current product.
